Screenshot and Screen Record on MacOS 

     On macOS you can take a screenshot and Screen Record easily with a Screenshot app 

By Pressing: Shift + Command () + 5 together.

 

There will be options for Screenshot and Record as follows.

  • Capture Entire Screen.
  • Capture Selected Window.
  • Capture Selected Area.
  • Record Entire Screen
  • Record Selected Area.

 

Screenshot on Windows 10

     On Windows 10, there is a slight difference according to the brand of the laptop. Generally, press PrtSc (PrtScrn) or Ctrl + PrtSc or Fn + PrtSc key to Print screen

The result will be a screenshot of the entire screen currently being displayed.

     Another is use Snip & Sketch if you want more screenshots options by pressing Windows + Shift + S keys.

When pressed, will enter Screenshot mode, there are 4 types to choose

  • Capture a rectangular area.
  • Capture a Freeform area.
  • Capture only desired window.
  • Capture entire screen.

     The resulting image from a screenshot will pop up in the bottom right corner. Press to edit. Save that file or can be used in other programs immediately by pressing "Paste" or Ctrl + V such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Gmail, etc.

 

Screen Record on Windows 10

     For Screen recording on Windows 10, there is a tool called Game Bar already installed on Windows 10. To enable it, just go to menu Settings> Gaming> Game bar and enable it.

 

     Then run by pressing Window + G, you will find the Capture tool. You can choose to record with sound from the mic together or without as well.

 


     Recorded video files are placed in Videos\Captures folders.
